Track: Leadership Perspectives for Testers
Many organizations use outsource testing service providers now. About a dozen or so large vendors exist, with hundreds of medium, small, and boutique providers as well. Some of their customers have positive opinions about their services, and some are less positive, but very few are able to actually quantify the effectiveness and efficiency of their vendors. So, their opinions about the services they receive are just that: opinions. We can do better than that. Join today’s breakout session with Rex Black to learn how to put some metrics in place to assess your vendor’s performance, and perhaps to drive some improvements, especially in high-risk and high-volume situations.
Session Takeaways:
- Key ideas about why testing service providers need specialized metrics, not the generic ones your sourcing people have for development service providers.
- A set of customizable metrics that apply to most testing service providers.
- A set of goals for each metric, suitable for inclusion in annual contracts and for use to evaluate (and compare) vendor performance.
- Moo-shoo pork (just kidding about that one)
