F14-11/5: Learning to Translate Requirements to Gherkin

Track/s: Automation

In this session, we will briefly discuss what Behavior Driven Development is and what the basic syntax is for writing Gherkin (syntax for Cucumber features and scenarios). We will then work with sample requirements with the goal of converting traditional requirements to efficient acceptance test scenarios in Gherkin. This is an interactive working session and with the goal of teaching the attendees basic Gherkin through interactive, live, learning. No tools or laptop will be needed by the attendee! Developing acceptance test scenarios in Gherkin is a very important part of any Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD) process.
