Track: Performance Testing
Virtually every activity in every industry is becoming a mobile user experience. From entertaining, streaming media, gaming, social networking to convenient utilities such as mapping, ratings and even secure and private financial transactions. Each of these types of activity creates and cements users’ dependency on their mobile experience.
Performance engineers need to keep up on the latest technologies as well as methodologies. In this STPcon session, we will discuss the requirements and challenges of performance testing mobile applications. Whether the mobile app is a native app (downloaded from a virtual store) or an enhanced mobile website, the goal is to scale to massive volumes. We will delve into creating realistic load script – digging into the technologies and the embedded logic. We’ll also explain how using cloud infrastructures are the perfect solutions for generating the virtual user load. Monitoring is also very important in identifying bottlenecks which prevent the app from scaling to a heavy workload. This will be an end-to-end session about performance testing mobile applications.
