Track: Agile Testing
As they undertake more agile projects, IT enterprises are seeking to scale the use of offshore testing on Agile teams. The use of Agile offshore has been written about at the project level, but what lessons are being learned at the enterprise level–particularly with respect to testing? What techniques are working to scale offshore manual and automated testing for widespread use by agile teams? We will share experiences from actual projects deploying outsourced testing staff on Agile projects. Attendees will learn key challenges facing Agile offshore testing as well as specific solutions such as:
- How staffing of Agile testers can be scaled up by IT shops
- How testers new to Agile are being prepared to join Agile teams
- How traditional GUI automation is being adapted for offshore Agile teams
- How heavyweight commercial tools (HP & IBM) can support Agile testing
- Which metrics are being used to evaluate offshore Agile testing effectiveness
